Program Overview & Workshop Description

The Enhancing Judicial Skills in Domestic Violence Cases (EJS) Workshop is a four-day, hands-on, highly interactive workshop that will provide an essential foundation for new and experienced judges to enhance their skills in handling civil and criminal domestic violence cases.  Participation in this workshop is limited to 50 judges.  All state and tribal court judges nationwide are eligible to attend.

Continuing Judicial Skills in Domestic Violence Cases (CJS) Program 

Program Overview & Course Descriptions 

The Continuing Judicial Skills in Domestic Violence Cases (CJS) Program is specifically designed for judges who have successfully completed the Enhancing Judicial Skills in Domestic Violence Cases Workshop.  The CJS Program addresses judges’ specific assignments at a more intensive level and introduces new topics of special interest.  The CJS Program offers a choice among four 1-day special topic courses and four 1.5-day court assignment courses.

Program Overview & Workshop Description

The Enhancing Judicial Skills in Elder Abuse Cases Workshop is a four-day, hands-on, highly interactive workshop that will help new and experienced state and tribal court judges enhance their skills and ability to respond to cases involving violence against older adults.

Technical Assistance Programs

 The NJIDV provides state or regional replications of our educational programs. These replications are geared specifically for the state or region where the training will be offered and incorporate the law from the state or region. The NJIDV also provides short sections of our programs for conferences or trainings hosted by other organizations. These have included national conferences, state judicial trainings, and local or regional conferences.
